Techno-Economic Analysis of Green Hydrogen Production

Spruceworks defined how existing hydrogen technology platforms would achieve our client’s goals of landfill avoidance and net-zero CO2 emissions.

What is the techno-economic analysis of green hydrogen production as a synergistic co-processing feature for decarbonization.

Our Approach

Spruceworks evaluated the idea of repurposing municipal solid waste (MSW) to produce greener hydrogen, with the intention that this new hydrogen would decarbonize downstream fuel sources.

We conducted a techno-economic feasibility study of hydrogen supply technologies, including electrolysis, covering current and future technology improvement deployment scenarios.

Results

Spruceworks outlined potential benefits and defined the processes for producing valuable products such as chemicals and other fuel energy, considering the positive environmental impacts of hydrogen versus landfilling.

Ultimately, we were able to help this client realize their goal to move away from landfilling and use hydrogen utilizing technology platforms to reach net zero CO2 emissions.
